Machines and automation for ceiling fan manufacturers

SC Innovators builds special purpose machines for ceiling fan plants: fully automatic and semi-automatic fan blade riveting machines, rivet feeding, bearing pressing and IS 374 air delivery test systems, with the control panels that run them. 15 blade riveting machines (12 fully automatic, 3 semi-automatic) and four air delivery test systems are running at fan manufacturers.

Machines for the fan line

From shank-to-blade riveting to the final air delivery test, each machine is engineered to your components and floor space.

Fully automatic ceiling fan blade riveting machine

Rivets the shank to the fan blade without an operator. Shanks and blades come from dual-stack magazines, and rivets are fed, inserted and pressed automatically. 3-rivet and 4-rivet models, with or without nylon washers. Cycle time 2.0 to 2.5 s. SC Innovators is one of the manufacturers of this machine.

Semi-automatic ceiling fan blade riveting machine

Consistent riveting at a lower investment: the operator loads the shank, washers and blade, and the machine feeds, presses and unloads. About 4 to 5 s per blade. For fan plants not yet running the volume for full automation.

Frequently asked

All questions

Do you make ceiling fan blade riveting machines?

Yes. SC Innovators builds fully automatic and semi-automatic ceiling fan blade riveting machines in Chandigarh, and is one of the manufacturers of the fully automatic machine. 12 fully automatic and 3 semi-automatic machines are running at ceiling fan manufacturers.

What is the cycle time of the fully automatic fan blade riveting machine?

2.0 to 2.5 seconds per blade on the fully automatic machine, depending on the model. The semi-automatic machine takes about 4 to 5 seconds, depending on how quickly the operator loads. Final values for your blade and shank are confirmed in the techno-commercial offer.

How long does a model changeover take on the fan blade riveting machine?

There is no changeover loss between models with the same CD. When the CD changes, the fixture and press assembly are changed in about 15 minutes, with no special skill needed and no alignment afterwards.

How much manpower does an automatic blade riveting machine save?

In one fan plant, manpower on blade riveting went from 18 operators to 2, a 90% reduction, with more consistent riveting and output.

Do you make air delivery test systems for ceiling fans to IS 374?

Yes. Our fully automatic, SCADA-based system runs the complete IS 374 air delivery test at the push of one button. Four servo-driven anemometers cover 17 positions along each axis, the diaphragm changes automatically for each sweep, and air velocity, RPM, wattage, temperature and humidity are logged for every position before the report is generated and filed. Four systems are in use at ceiling fan manufacturers.

Can you automate one station of a manual fan line?

Yes. We can automate a single station, such as blade riveting or rivet feeding, and leave the rest of the line as it is. More stations can be added later.

Do you install the machine and train our operators?

Yes. We install and commission the machine at your plant, train your operators, and train your maintenance staff.

Where are you based, and where do you supply?

Our works are in Chandigarh. We supply machines, panels and parts to fan and appliance manufacturers all over India.
