Semi-automatic ceiling fan blade riveting machine
The operator loads the shank, washers and blade. The machine feeds and presses the rivets and delivers the finished blade to a conveyor. Consistent riveting at a lower investment, for fan plants not yet running the volume for full automation. Three machines are in production at fan manufacturers.
The operator loads, the machine rivets
When shanks are riveted to blades by hand, joint quality depends on the person at the press. This machine keeps the operator for loading only. Rivet feeding, insertion, pressing and unloading are automatic, so every joint is made the same way, cycle after cycle.
-
01
Consistent joints
Rivets are fed, inserted and pressed by the machine, with a hydro-pneumatic cylinder setting every rivet.
-
02
One machine for every model
It runs the full range of blades and shanks in your plant. Switching between models with the same CD costs no production time at all.
-
03
Changeover in about 15 minutes
When the CD changes, only the fixture and press assembly are swapped. No skilled fitter is needed, and nothing has to be realigned afterwards.
-
04
Every step verified
Each operation is closed loop. Laser, fibre-optic, photoelectric, proximity, reed and limit-switch sensors confirm every step before the next one begins.
Manual loading, automatic riveting
The fixtures travel on a rotary table, so the operator loads one fixture while the machine rivets and unloads the others.
-
01
Loading
The operator places the shank, washers and blade on the fixture.
-
02
Transfer
The rotary table carries the loaded fixture to the riveting station.
-
03
Riveting
Rivets are fed automatically, inserted into the assembly and pressed home by a hydro-pneumatic cylinder.
-
04
Unloading
A pneumatic two-axis unit lifts the finished blade and places it on the outgoing conveyor.
Built to your blade design
Choose the number of rivets and whether nylon washers are used. Every combination is available.
| Option | Choices |
|---|---|
| Rivets per blade | 3 or 4 |
| Nylon washers | With or without |
| Cycle time | About 4 to 5 s per blade, depending on how quickly the operator loads |
Built to your component
Values are confirmed in the techno-commercial offer for your blade and shank. The cycle time is indicative and depends on the operator.
| Parameter | Unit | Value |
|---|---|---|
| Component handled | — | Ceiling fan blade and shank |
| Models | — | 3-rivet or 4-rivet, with or without nylon washers |
| Cycle time | s | About 4 to 5 per blade, depending on operator loading |
| Loading | — | Shank, washers and blade placed by the operator |
| Transfer | — | Rotary table |
| Riveting press | t | 8, hydro-pneumatic |
| Unloading | — | Automatic, to a conveyor |
| Changeover | min | None between models with the same CD; about 15 when the CD changes |
