About SC Innovators
SC Innovators is a machine building company in Chandigarh, set up in 2017 and in industrial automation since 2021. We design and build special purpose machines, automated assembly and testing systems and electrical control panels for manufacturers, and supply industrial components.
We take a project end to end — application study at the customer's plant, concept and mechanical design, control system design and programming, in-house manufacturing and assembly, factory acceptance testing, site commissioning and after-sales support.
Our team is small and hands-on. Interns here work on real machines and real projects, next to the engineers who build them — not on made-up exercises.
Purpose of the Internship
You will help us find and reach the right customers: research target industries, build qualified lead lists, keep our CRM up to date, and prepare outreach and case-study material with the design and graphic interns.
All outreach you draft is reviewed and sent by the company — interns do not send customer communication on their own.
What You Will Work On
1. Market Research
- Research target industries — automotive and auto-ancillary, electrical and electronics, white goods and others — and the plants in our region.
- Track competitors and what they offer.
2. Lead Generation & CRM
- Build qualified lead lists with company, plant, contact role and source.
- Keep the CRM / Trello board up to date — enquiries, follow-ups and status.
3. Outreach Support
- Draft emails, LinkedIn messages and short call scripts for review.
- Help prepare exhibitions and customer visits; occasionally join a visit with a sales engineer.
4. Content
- Write case studies of machines we have built, with the engineers and the graphic design intern.
Who Can Apply
- Studying or recently completed one of the courses listed under Eligibility.
- Clear written and spoken English; Hindi or Punjabi is a plus.
- Good with Excel / Google Sheets.
- Curious about how factories work.
Good to Have
- Any sales, marketing or customer-facing internship.
- LinkedIn research skills.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing or automation.
What We Look For
- Organised and follows up without reminders.
- Honest in research — marks what is verified and what is not.
- Keeps customer data confidential.
What Success Looks Like
| First 2 weeks | Understands our machines and customers; has produced a first verified lead list for one industry. |
|---|---|
| End of a short internship | A researched lead list for two or three industries, with the CRM updated and draft outreach approved. |
| End of a long internship | A working lead pipeline, case studies published after approval, and support on at least one customer visit or exhibition. |
What You Get Instead of a Stipend
This is an unpaid internship. What it gives you instead:
- Hands-on experience in a working industrial automation company — machines, tools and real deadlines.
- A defined project with deliverables you can show, reviewed by your mentor every week.
- An internship certificate stating the areas you were trained in.
- A written reference for interns who perform well.
- First consideration for a paid role when one opens in your area.
- For outstanding interns, a completion award may be given at the Director's discretion. It is not promised and not part of the offer.
What this internship does not include: a stipend, a travel or food allowance, accommodation, or a guaranteed job. We would rather say that clearly now.
Selection
Selection is three steps: (1) application screening; (2) a short written test at our works — the common aptitude paper plus a short task related to this internship; (3) one interview with a practical question. Selected interns receive an internship offer letter and sign a confidentiality undertaking before starting.
How to Apply

- Attach any project or report that shows your research or writing.
- If your college needs a training letter or a no-objection certificate, mention it in your email.
