About SC Innovators

SC Innovators is a machine building company in Chandigarh, set up in 2017 and in industrial automation since 2021. We design and build special purpose machines, automated assembly and testing systems and electrical control panels for manufacturers, and supply industrial components.

We take a project end to end — application study at the customer's plant, concept and mechanical design, control system design and programming, in-house manufacturing and assembly, factory acceptance testing, site commissioning and after-sales support.

Our team is small and hands-on. Interns here work on real machines and real projects, next to the engineers who build them — not on made-up exercises.

Purpose of the Internship

Our machines and products are good; the way we present them can be better. You will create the material customers, candidates and staff see: catalogues, brochures, the website, social media, company profiles, manuals, training content and videos.

Everything you make is a draft until the Director approves it. Nothing is published or sent outside without that approval.

What You Will Work On

1. Sales & Brand Material

  • Catalogues, brochures, product sheets, PowerPoint decks and the company profile.
  • The WhatsApp Business catalogue and WhatsApp posts.
  • Certificates and simple company documents in a consistent house style.

2. Website & Social Media

  • Website pages and content updates.
  • Social media posts and campaign plans (LinkedIn first); marketing campaigns for products and hiring.
  • Photographs and short videos of our machines and workshop, shot on site.

3. Manuals & Training Content

  • Instruction manuals and instruction sheets for machines and products, with the engineers.
  • Training and support content for customers' operators — illustrated guides, short videos, audio where useful.

4. Standards

  • Build a simple brand kit — logo use, colours, fonts, templates — so everyone produces consistent material.
  • Our brand rule: "Absolute Automation" is the brand of SC Innovators and always appears together with "SC Innovators", never alone.

Who Can Apply

  • A portfolio of your own design work.
  • Working skill in at least one of: Canva, Adobe Illustrator / Photoshop / InDesign, CorelDRAW, Figma.
  • Basic video editing (any tool — CapCut, DaVinci Resolve, Premiere).
  • Good written English; Hindi is a plus for workshop material.

Good to Have

  • Website editing (WordPress, Wix or similar).
  • Product photography.
  • Technical illustration or exploded views.
  • Interest in engineering and how machines work.

What We Look For

  • Learns the product before designing for it — asks engineers how it works.
  • Meets deadlines and shares drafts early.
  • Takes feedback without taking it personally.
  • Keeps customer names, prices and drawings out of public material unless approved.
  • Follow workshop safety at all times — PPE, machine guards, and never operating a machine without being authorised and supervised.

What Success Looks Like

First 2 weeksKnows our products and audience; has delivered a first set of social posts or a product sheet in our house style.
End of a short internshipA finished product catalogue or company profile, plus a month of approved social content.
End of a long internshipBrand kit, catalogue, website updates, at least one machine manual and a library of photos and videos the company keeps using.

What You Get Instead of a Stipend

This is an unpaid internship. What it gives you instead:

  • Hands-on experience in a working industrial automation company — machines, tools and real deadlines.
  • A defined project with deliverables you can show, reviewed by your mentor every week.
  • An internship certificate stating the areas you were trained in.
  • A written reference for interns who perform well.
  • First consideration for a paid role when one opens in your area.
  • For outstanding interns, a completion award may be given at the Director's discretion. It is not promised and not part of the offer.

What this internship does not include: a stipend, a travel or food allowance, accommodation, or a guaranteed job. We would rather say that clearly now.

Selection

Selection is three steps: (1) application screening; (2) a short written test at our works — the common aptitude paper plus a short task related to this internship; (3) one interview with a practical question. Selected interns receive an internship offer letter and sign a confidentiality undertaking before starting.

How to Apply

  • Email your CV to [email protected] with the subject line "Application — Graphic Design & Content Intern (Short / Long)".
  • For any query, call or WhatsApp +91-9855104671.
  • Please include: your college, course and year; whether you want the short (6–8 weeks) or long (6 months) internship, and the dates you are available; and a few lines on why this internship interests you.
  • Attach or link your portfolio — this matters more than your marks.
  • If your college needs a training letter or a no-objection certificate, mention it in your email.
